Sam was born in Virginia, raised & educated in Florida, and later drove to California all by himself. As a child Sam was highly influenced by the Muppet Show, Leisure Suit Larry games, musicals and nonsense poetry.

He loves movies, video games and lying to people. He dislikes both Republicans and Democrats equally. He loves big hair and shapely rumps. He dislikes most comic books. He loves the music of Frank Zappa and The Residents, the films of Takashi Miike and John Waters, the comics of Hideshi Hino and R. Crumb, the writings of Kurt Vonnegut and Edward Lear and the video games Seaman and Resident Evil.
